Genealogy Links

The library's award winning genealogy project includes the Sacandaga Families database. This was developed using census records, cemetery records, marriage and death notices from scrapbooks, military records, and on-line information. The database is ever growing and the library would be pleased to add your ancestors to it. Call ahead and we will introduce you to this project. Library Director, Michael S. Burnett, will assist patrons with their research and acquaint them with the Sacandaga Families project, which includes information of people who lived around the area, including Northville, Northampton, Benson, Hope, Mayfield, Edinburg, Day, and other locales.
